ABOUT ME

“Passion will make you crazy, but is there any other way to live?”  -- –Howard Hughes

Upon discovering my interest in art, I believed, and still believe, that the world of art is truly limitless. I acquired an unquenchable thirst to explore it all. I doodled all throughout school - my homework was almost always covered in various drawings. Shortly after graduating high school, I was faced with finding a job/career. It was then that I apprenticed, under my cousin’s mentoring, as a costume construction seamstress for a year.

This was pivotal as this was my introduction to working in a creative position. I learned first hand how the creative process worked, including how to conceptualize ideas, present ideas to clients, receive feedback and make adjustments accordingly, meet deadlines and communicate efficiently and effectively.

I immediately became addicted to finding creative solutions for unique problems. I then eagerly explored different mediums to hone my problem solving skills. I drew, I painted, I sewed, and I sculpted. I researched multiple styles and fields, which included playing video games I found aesthetically appealing and interesting. Playing games sparked my desire to create characters. I’ve always enjoyed creating my own interpretations of various characters and appreciate games nearly unlimited customization. At that point, something “clicked” inside me, and I yearned for the skills to achieve making 3D/2D characters.

This yearning lead me to The Art Institute of Tampa, where I attained my Bachelor of Fine Arts degree majoring in Media Arts and Animation focusing on 3D character modeling and 2D concept art.

My goal as a creative designer is to blur the lines of reality by partaking in the creative process of giving form to ideas and dreams.
